On Friday 3th October 2008 Rudolph Pedro Austin Carti & Lai Ping Cheong tied the knots in the civil house in Aruba located in Oranjestad followed by the church matrimony in the Saint Anna Catholic Church in Noord. The newlyweds will travel on Sunday 5th October 2008 for a nice honymoon trip in the Carribean.

Rudi is a physiotherapist on the island and Lai Ping is a school teacher. Rudi is grandson of the late mrs. Amabel Carti-Richardson ( s. 2007) who was daughter of Romondt, Clarence Hamilton Dalrymple who was son of van Romondt, Willem Hendrik Rink, who was the son of van Romondt, Johannes Willem who was the first son of Diederik Johannes van Romondt & Ann Hassell.

Zaina was born 17 September 2008 in Oranjestad Aruba and doing very good. Soon we will receive a picture of Zaina.

Johannes Brown celebrates his 73 B-day!

Lilian is the daughter of Octavius (TAWI) Richardson and Marguerite Calvert Stuart. TAWI was son of Diederick Johannes VR & Susan Richardson. Diederick Johannes VR was a business man, Landlord and deputy governor of Sint Maarten N.A.

Today, 18 April 2008 Lilian celebrates her 96 b-day in Curacao N.A. among many family and friends. Her son Kenneth came over from Holland to give his mom a big KISS and niece Veronica Rumnit came over from Aruba to enjoy this wonderful celebration.

This morning when we called to wish her a happy b-day, Lilian was having a nice bath and getting ready for this blessed day!!

May God bless Lilian with many more years and bring lots of love, prosperity and good health to her heart!

Graduation of Lynn Daniel

Lynn graduated on Thursday, May 24th 2007 in Radio City Hall, with honors and is now accepted in Drew Theological Seminary University where she will continue her studies in becoming a Methodist Minister. The University Consisting of the College of Liberal Arts, the Drew Theological School and the Caspersen School of Graduate Studies, Drew University has a total enrollment of 2,506 students. The university has been a leader in integrating informational technologies into every aspect of its teaching, research, and campus life. It has an impressive library of 500,000 volumes that houses several major research collections, including the United Methodist Archives and History Center and one of the country's leading concentrations of material on Willa Cather.

Lynn is daughter of Mabel James, daughter of the late judge Clarence Aubrey Cannegieter, son of Otto van Romondt & Sarah Cannegieter.

We wish Lynn all the best with her studies. Religion has also been a part of the history of the van Romondt, in particular METHODISM.

Many family members of the Cannegieter & de Weever branch celebrated the wedding of Keturah de Weever and her long time partner Richi on the beautiful beach of Sint Maarten N.A. on 28 February 2008.
Keturah is the eldest child of Lynette Cannegieter & Cornelius de Weever. Lynette's father was the late judge of Sint Maarten mr. Clarence Aubrey Cannegieter son of Otto Lionel van Romondt & Sarah Cannegieter.

Today 2nd November 2007 was a beautiful day for the couple Mahalia & Mayron as they formed their eternal love together in the presence of many family & friends. The couple married in Aruba at the Census Office and the church service took place at The Seed of Life Church in the district of San Nicolaas. The reception venue was in the garden of the church where the couple celebrated their wedding day!

Mahalia Castillejo is daugther of Pennelou Trappenberg who is daughter of Johannes Richardson son of Louis VR & Ella Rhoda Richardson.

Malaki attended the wedding and was so happy to meet new cousins who she actually never knew. She hopes with the research to get to know them better and stay in touch!

The Oxley's celebrating the 80th b-day of Gwen Oxley in Barbados

Peter Oxley informed the research that the family will be having a major reunion at the end of May to celebrate the 80 b-day of Alice Gwendoline Oxley-Pilgrim ( 26 may 2007) in the presence of her loving family on the beautiful island of Barbados.

Gwen as the family calls her is the wife of John Oxley. John is one of the sons of Sylvia van Romondt (1907-1988), daughter of Alice van Romondt (1879-1964), daughter of Ida Leontine van Romondt (branch Diederick Christiaan) and Louis Alexander van Romondt ( branch August Alexander).
