The Connection between the Gumbs and van Romondt's goes way back through the ancestors of the the Gumbs/Carter family of the island of Anguilla. Sarah Gumbs was the mother of Judith Rink Tielenius Kruythhoff whom married Johannes Willem van Romondt (1st son of Diederik Johannes van Romondt and Ann Hassell) The Gumbs (William Gumbs, Benjamin Gumbs, Willem Arthur Carter, Marion Octavia Carter and Joshua Eager Carter) were all connected to the van Romondt's and the Tielenius Kruythoff's families since several van Romondt's daugthers married members of the Gumbs/Carter family.
Ingrid has been researching the Gumbs family and the connection between the families for over 20 years.
We are still searching the connection of Sarah Gumbs and the Gumbs family Tree so we can find out the names of Sarah's parents. Ingrid is a descendant of the Gumbs family and once we can trace back Sarah's ancestors we can merge Ingrid's line to the VR Research.
