SYNCRONIZING SWIMMING, A BEAUTIFUL SPORT!

Syncronizing Swimming is one of the sports very loved by Malaki Z. Croes (1974) and Andreina van Romondt (1987). Both girls started their career in syncronizing swimming by the Barracuda's synchronizing swimming club of Aruba at a very young age and developed their skills and abilities in this beautiful sport.

Andreina van Romondt currently studying in in the city of Rotterdam in The Netherlands has been part of the delegation of Aruba at several International Competitions. Among them the US National 2006 Synchronized Swimming Championship, 1st PAN American Asur Junior Championship 2005, XI FINA (International Swimming Federation) World championships Montreal 2005, CISC ( Caribbean Islands Swimming Championships) 2004, Jamaica, San Juan Puerto Rico, CCCAN ( Juegos Deportivos Centro Americas y del Caribe) 2006, Cartagena Colombia and CISC 2002.

Malaki Croes started Syncronizing Swimming at the age of eight and has loved it ever since. When Malaki returned to Aruba in 2004 the Aruban Swimming Association asked her to become a judge for synchronizing swimming in Aruba. After one year of being a practice judge she soon became an local judge for Syncronizing Swimming on the island. In 2006 Malaki Croes has been selected by the Aruban Swimming Committee to become a FINA G-judge and in January 2007 she received the acknowledgement in which gives her the opportunity to judge certain International Competitions. She recently was selected to judge the CCCAN synchronizing swimming competition in San Salvador, El Salvador( 25 June-1 July 2007). This was a great and wonderful experience!

Attached you can see a picture of Malaki Croes with Anouk Eman and Margie Kelders who won the bronze medal for their duet 13-15 age category.
