Blondell Cannegieter(SXM) send an email informing us that Uncle Dougie (Douglas Cannegieter, 99) is out of the hospital and back home. He's feeling a little better and in very good hands of his caretaker Suzanne.
We also asked Blondell to please remind the doctor of how special Uncle Dougie is and that he's the eldest living descendant alive of the VR and that we are preparing for his 100 b-day. This can give her a complete different view on her treatment and concern of the health of Uncle Dougie.
Little did we know of the doctor as Blondell emailed us with the fantastic news that:
" The Doctor is Grace Spencer and she is a direct descendant of the v. Romondt Family. Her grandmoter was Lanta Schouten who lived in curacao. Her father was somebody v.Romondt. So she is related.Your grandmother might know of Lanta Schouten. We used to call her "Mother".Her home was open for everybody that old lady".
Who would have thought that the doctor is also a descendant. Soon after receiving the email we forwarded it to Sonia Schouten, a living descendant of the same branch living in Aruba who is the director of the newspaper "The News".
We hope to receive some reactions to add the information.
